Master Floyd Soo Inducted Into Masters Hall of Fame

On June 18th, 2016, Master Floyd Soo was honored with his induction into the Masters Hall of Fame at their Awards Banquet in Columbus, Ohio.

The Masters Hall of Fame recognizes elite Martial Artists, recognized by peers for their contributions to the Martial Arts world. Inductees are a cross section of the Martial Arts community from Police and Military Leaders, to Martial Arts Legends and Karate Champions. Master Soo was recognized for close to a half-century of commitment and contribution to Martial Arts in general, and Tang Soo Do in particular.

In 2017, Master Soo will celebrate his 50th Anniversary in Korean Karate. His first instructor was the legendary Grandmaster Dale Drouillard, (Pin #757 and the 1st American to earn Black/Midnight Blue rank in Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do), who was teaching at the time for Grandmaster Sang Kyu Shim (Pin #180), first representative of the Moo Duk Kwan to permanently relocate to the USA. Master Soo went on to train with Grandmaster Mike March in 1973 and has been training with him ever since. His contributions to the Martial Arts arena in the Mid-West, as well as to his local community through his students is immeasurable.

Master Soo is owner and Chief Instructor at Floyd Soo Korean Karate in Orion, Michigan.
